Portrait of Yulia. A gift from a woman to a young girl for her birthday, who was supposed to become the wife of her son. The client, who had moved from the front line to another part of the country to escape the horrors of war, took Yulia with her, whom she grew to love like her own daughter.

Portrait of a woman. A gift from a husband to his beloved wife for the upcoming Valentine’s Day celebration. Back in 2011, the wife commissioned a portrait of her husband from the same artist. Now, almost 14 years later, they’ve switched roles! :) Both portraits, of the same size, will hang together in the same room.
