- What kind of photographs are suitable for a portrait?
You’ll need to provide a photograph that you like. It can be a digital image, and it’s ideal if it was taken by a professional photographer. You can order a portrait based on either a color or black-and-white photograph. The key is that you like the photo, and it’s the artist’s job to transfer the likeness of the subject to the canvas as accurately as possible, capturing both their appearance and essence.
- I only have this one photo. Can anything be adjusted?
Yes, adjustments can be made. Clients often request modifications when commissioning a portrait. For example, the artist can slightly enlarge the eyes, adjust the gaze direction, remove headwear, eliminate glasses glare, reduce wrinkles, alter the hairstyle, smooth a double chin, and more.
